Balfolk is a fusion of a few European folk dancing traditions. Bal Folk dance events successfully combine traditional dances of central France (e.g. bourrée), energetic chain and circle dances from Brittany, melodic and thoughtful waltzes and mazurkas as well as dances from other parts of Europe (e.g. an occasional scandi number). Bal Folk events are an enjoyable experience for dance and folk music enthusiasts alike.

Here are some examples (videos of Bal folk dancing on Youtube):

Mazurka (European couple dance)
An Dro (Breton chain dance)
Cercle Circassien (the Circassian Cirle)
Ridée 6 temps (Breton circle dance)
Vals (waltz)
